"Let me tell you a secret, something they don't teach you in your temple. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be more lovely than you are now. We will never be here again." - Archilles, Troy.

RED CARPET FASHION

Those who shined...

Uma Thurman
Donatella Versace knows how to make a seriously sexy dress and Uma Thurman has just the body to wear it. This long, pale, intricately detailed dress on the red carpet has all the classic Greek goddess appeal.

Judi Dench
Judi Dench is one classy lady. This long, flowing gown and matching coat in cool, elegant tones of silver and mint is perfect: regal but a bit bohemian at the same time. I even love her matching kitten heels!

Sandra Oh

Beautiful body in a beautiful dress in a stunning colour. Sandra Oh is becoming a fashion icon.

Michelle Williams
I love this dress Michelle Williams wore for Oscar 2006. Wrapped in vintage romantic chiffon of one rich delicious egg yolk color, paired up with her bright ketchup red lipstick. This look is so tough to carry -- but she carries it so well!

Jennifer Lopez
This green is the the shade of green that I love -- I have a velvet lab coat in this shade and I still wear it. It makes me think of rich green moss all along a small pond.

Those who just couldn't even with All ACCESS...

Naomi Watts

Washed out, worn in, and what's next? Fluffy, greyish pink (and a gold clutch?) with her pale skin tones and pale makeup. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Reese Witherspoon
I like the silver embroideries, but limited to decorative mode only. This is overdone and Reese resembles a 20-tiered wedding cake instead of a princess on red carpet in this 1955 Christian Dior's toilet-roll dolly dress.

Mariah Carey

Ladies, she is wearing a CHANEL!! A CHANEL! And she looks... sigh... this tells you, even with billions and billions of dollars, you can still f**k up a couture.

Cynthia Nixon
During the 63rd Annual Golden Globes, January 16, 2006, this Sex and the City star looks like she pulled out an old prom dress and decided it's good enough for red carpet. She looked like a giant, gift-wrapped eggplant.
